Current bugs

    Just compiling a list of bugs that are known for new players:

    Smoke grenades cannot be thrown and vehicle smokes do not work. Pretty sure this is something from Epoch.

    Satchel charges cannot be placed/remotely detonated/ or a timer set. Not sure why this is happening.

    Players can spawn in from full health infected. Might be Unleashed's new database being buggy.

    Supply crates are broken and cannot be opened to get their yummy contents.

    Running while holding the alt key to look around causes your character to stop every few steps. Also, if running-toggle is off and you manually run, it also stops every few steps.

    Tents/safes do not save inventory until after a server restart.

    Whoa wait what? WTF! I designed the supply crates to be completely self contained, in fact the only code for them that exists in unleashed that isn't self contained in their PBO is the loot table information, thats really odd.

    We fixed this one which makes me think that there was a revert in the repo some where.

    By the supply crates, I don't mean the active loot searchable chests or the lock pickable chests. I mean the Epoch "Supply crates" that hold 6 tank traps, or 12 scrap metal, etc.

    I reported this months ago. It's the Epoch supply crates , just like Vegalyp says. I think at the time there was alot going on. I never had the running problem and I've never spawned infected.EDIT= I checked my notes and it seems the Epoch crates never worked correctly as far back as I can find . It looks like even before 096.

    Yeah, the spawning infected isn't every single time, it seems to be random or something is triggering it and we just haven't noticed (Like logging out after getting out of a vehicle or something like that. If it happens again I'll try and figure out what happened before they logged out to see if that's something.)

    The M60 deleted my pack . It also was like 70 pounds.

    Because of how Arma handles LMG's, they have always done that. Yeah, normally it just drops the pack but Arma likes to randomly delete stuff or teleport it a crazy distance away.

    I never had one delete before, always had them just drop. Never use the m60 but I was kind of desperate right then .

    Ok, more on the smoke grenades. It seems like the game isn't " seeing " the smoke grenades in your inventory. It acts like you don't have any.
    But it "sees" the satchel charges, you just can't place it even though you go through the animation. This very same thing used to happen to the mines. Way back I couldn't place mines even though it went through the animation. Placing mines seems to work now, which is just weird.

    Hmmm, when I press 'F' to switch to Satchels it doesn't switch so it should be the same thing affecting smokes as well. But when I get the scroll option of 'Rig vehicle with Satchels' or whatever it is, it does do the animation like you say, but doesn't actually do anything.

    Ive only had satchel charges in Epoch and Unleashed but I never had an option other than the scroll menu for satchels, mines, IEDs, stuff you have to place? It may be different in other mods?

    Yeah I think I figured this one out...


    You should be able to place the bomb on a car still and have it detonate?

    This actually causes the satchel to be placed onto the vehicle and waits for the vehicle to start and move before exploding. It does not affect ai vehicles; however, if the ai is driving.

    Yeah, but we tested this on a vehicle and it didn't remove our satchel. And I had my brother get in and drive the vehicle and it still did nothing.

    Ok I think its the antihacks ill just remove it and add in some other menu systems

    Works for me. I know the Antihack made the leveling up menu act incredibly weird.

    FYI, i knew I fixed this... in the code I have on my machine, the items are spawning in at the correct height.

    Also, it has all the proper tents it looks like and the correct weight over the icons. Verify that icon is there and we know your using the latest version.

    This could be part of the whole infection system in Unleashed. When your new flesh, you are more vulnerable since you have not had time to increase your stats.
